Continuing Education Credit
As an approved provider, CREOKS is committed to providing the highest quality continuing education for all behavioral health care professionals. Obtaining appropriate credit for our programs is an important part of this effort. When credit is approved for a continuing education event, it means that steps have been taken to ensure that the program is designed to meet specifically identified needs and planned in a way that ensures a high quality experience, in a professional environment, while offering the most up-to-date information and strategies for the program’s target audience.

Contact hours are automatically awarded to all participants upon completion of the program. For some disciplines, a specific type of credit is not necessary and a certificate indicating contact hours is sufficient. Most disciplines require a specific type of credit or credits in order to maintain professional licensure or certification. Continuing education requirements for disciplines frequently change. Make sure that you are fully aware of the types of credits that can be used to fulfill your specific licensure or certification requirements.

Examples of behavioral health care professional licensure or certification include: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC), Behavioral Health Case Manager (BHCM), Behavioral Health Rehabilitation Specialist (BHRS), and Recovery Support Specialist (RSS).

CREOKS maintains documentation of all continuing education participants and the contact hours and/or credits awarded. As a behavioral health care professional, you are responsible for maintaining your own credit documentation portfolio for credentialing purposes.
